We are currently looking for an experienced Estimator to join our growing organization.

The Estimator will join our team of professionals as a responsible for estimating manufacturing costs, preparing quotes, and interacting with various suppliers, colleagues, and clients. The ideal candidate will have previous demonstrated experience in a similar field, is organized, motivated, detail oriented and passionate. Responsibilities

• Evaluate the cost of components for the entire project (products, parts, time required, labor and operating costs) from bid documents, technical specifications and product list provided by the customer
• Provide a complete list of project requirements including facility installation and transportation requirements
• Evaluate manufacturing techniques for acrylic, wood, metal, and assembly
• Document changes to the estimate and communicate them (price, transport, other conditions)
• Clarify the customer’s needs to give the best price
• Perform the final cost calculation based on the results of the analysis
• Participate in the bid closing process
• Follow up on price requests with the purchasing department and suppliers

Profile

• Collegial Diploma, Bachelor’s degree or any other combination of experience and education in a related field
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years in a similar role and industry
• Ability to interpret CAD drawings and read plans
• Understanding of manufacturing processes related to acrylic, metal and plywood
• Comfortable with ERP, Office suite and Excel
• Experience in retail and merchandising is an asset
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, while setting priorities
• Autonomy, attention to detail and organization
• French and English communication, both spoken and written
