 So, you think you’re a good fit?

As an IVC Estimator, you will

  • Evaluate the cost of components for the entire project (products / parts, time required, labor and operating costs) from bid documents, technical specifications, product list provided by the customer, etc.;
  • Provide a complete list of project requirements including facility and transportation requirements;
  • Responsible for communicating and documenting customer quotation changes, including prices, delivery dates, terms, etc.
  • Evaluate manufacturing techniques for acrylic, wood and assembly;
  • Make sure the needs are clarified in order to evaluate the best price;
  • Finalize costs based on the results of the analysis;
  • Participate in the bid closing process;
  • Track price requests with the purchasing department and suppliers;
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.

What you need is

  • BAC or DEC or experience in a related field combined with a minimum of 3 to 5 years in a similar position;
  • Knowledge of manufacturing techniques
  • Experience in retail (asset)
  • Good understanding of CAD drawings
  • Good understanding of computers and ERP / MRP software
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask – involvement in multiple projects simultaneously
  • A good understanding of manufacturing processes related to acrylic, metal and plywood.
  • Ability to manage large volumes, meet tight deadlines, prioritize and work under pressure
  • Autonomy, maturity and ability to process confidential information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (including advanced Excel)
  • French and English bilingualism, oral and written.
